SHOULD BE A RULE!

Holiday Shopping for Loved Ones with Sensory Processing Conditions

At the holidays, many people wonder what to buy a loved one. If a loved one has a sensory processing challenge, like autism, please consider a gift of multi-sensory experiences. Think back to a favorite memory. Chances are good people will remember a gift or experience that involves at least three primary senses, like smell, taste, or touch. When buying things for others, remember their sensitivities to new senses. However, with enough forethought, we can all have a joyous time with family and friends this season!
